November marked the second in a series of @berggrueninst x Chromasonic collaborations to explore how innovative intersections of art, science, design, and technology can inform new ways of seeing and new ways of being. The collaboration at the Bradbury Building highlighted how artistic and scientific practices can spark novel insights about shifting concepts of mind and cognition. ​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​ A heartfelt thank you to Berggruen Institute's Associate Director of Future Humans, Claire Webb, leading neuroscientist Adam Gazzaley, and multimedia artist and Chromasonic co-founder Johannes Girardoni, for the dialog about how to stretch the potential of the human mind through new modalities of art and science.​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​ For this evening, Johannes Girardoni and the studio team created an experience with Chromasonic sensory technology that enabled participants to hear the sound of light, augmenting natural perception through technology. A lively dialog around art, neuroscience, perception, and where human consciousness lives, followed the experience.
