Thank you @cadence.newyork for having @bestfriendsanimalsociety and my friends for an evening of discussion and awareness. In 1984, when @bestfriendsanimalsociety was founded, 17 million animals were killed yearly. In 2021, that number was down to 355,000 a year. While lots of progress has been made, there is room for more. There should not be any animal that doesn’t have a safe place to call home. This year, numbers grew of euthanized animals for the first time since @bestfriendsanimalsociety was founded...people like you are able to change that.
