THE OUTSIDE INN By @sharonbajer and @eliozarrillo Directed by @annievalentina (SWIPE for a sneak peek!) We are so excited to start rehearsals for this powerful new Canadian play. Our company is still separated due to hurricane Fiona, but incredible work is happening here in Antigonish and in Halifax (thanks to a resilient group of artists, and some emergency help from @neptunetheatre) to start bringing this show to life. The Outside Inn is the story of Lily and her only child Patrick. On the same day that Lily is diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, Patrick shows up on her doorstep, asking to move home to save money for a gender-affirming surgery. Inspired by the playwrights’ lived experiences, The Outside Inn is a dark comedy about parenthood, gender, identity, and embracing radical change. With support from @prairie_theatre, @canada.council, The Manitoba Arts Council, The Manitoba Association of Playwrights, @artsnovascotia, and The Office of the AVP at @stfxuniversity.
