Possibly the highlight of my 2022, coming runner up of @alternative.miss.world 50s anniversary! 2022 could have been a total shamble. like many creative, I had a very time this summer, feeling hopeless and useless, tired of fighting for my projects & struggling with my work. Looking back I was totally burned out. I actually though of giving up alternative miss word but I got carried on the shoulder by friends and family like a soldier on the battle field. And I realised the tour de force from just wanting to show up to actually nearly winning and marking the History of the competition! This year, I need to learn to pace myself, set up boundaries, believe in my ability and believe that doing art is important even in a context of recession.
