Ever wonder about the story behind this photogenic skybridge?
The West 15th Street Skybridge was once a connector for National Biscuit Company (aka Nabisco) workers to seamlessly travel between the factory and their offices across the street. The National Biscuit Company building was one of the many buildings along the High Line that allowed trains to pass through directly—that way Oreo cookies and other snacks could be loaded directly into waiting train cars. Today, Nabisco is Chelsea Market and the skybridge is in disuse, but we love to catch a glimpse of it along the High Line at 15th Street.
