Y’all... make it make sense. 😖 A content creator can get hired to work with one of their fav brands, spend hours creating the concept, filming, editing and promoting it to the company’s exact target audience and then people will get MAD that you were paid to do so! I would NEVER expect YOU to work at Starbucks for FREE just because you love coffee!! Sponsored does NOT equal BRIBE. It is possible to genuinely love something and simultaneously get paid for the amount of work you put into creating content for it. Even some brands don’t understand this concept. They want 3 videos and 2 photos of you promoting their product in exchange for shampoo but the person EMAILING you is getting paid MONEY to ask YOU to work for free. Make it make sense. 😖 YES, unfortunately there are SOME people that will just promote anything for check. But that’s where it’s up to YOU to follow people that you trust. People that have recommended products to you that have given you great results. Support those creators. EXPECT them to get paid. YES, brands may want to send you product to try for FREE in HOPES that you love it and share it. That’s fine. But if they expect X amount of content made & have a list of requests & requirements...... that requires payment because that requires work.
