POUR ME A GIN! This week has seen our final two weddings of 2021. So that’s it. We’ve bloody done it! This season has been my toughest one yet. There’s been blood, sweat, (a lot of) laughter and sometimes tears. It’s tested me to what has sometimes felt like my absolute limit. Ever changing restrictions, guidance, adaptations and last minute amendments have kept me firmly on my toes over the past 4 months, but I’ve truly realised my strength, resilience and determination to make every single wedding one that I’m eternally proud of. It’s taken patience, many late nights, missing out on holidays with my children, and the support of my family and friends to pick me back up when I’ve needed it. I’m so incredibly proud of all I have achieved this year, and I couldn’t have done any of it without the hard work of everyone that works alongside me. My new Assistant Wedding Planner, Esmee (I couldn’t ask for a better right-hand-woman!) the A team of suppliers for each and every wedding, and of course my couples. I do all of this for you. To create the most perfect celebration that you’ll remember and talk fondly of forever. I never stop until it’s perfect, no matter what it takes. I’ve hoovered marquee carpets, steamed dresses, sewn buttons back on, meticulously timed Bridal entrance music, filled hundreds of confetti bags, pinned on endless buttonholes, fixed power outage, fluffed Bridal gowns, ironed tablecloths, carried sofas across estates, zoomed in isolating family members to Ceremonies, and driven thousands of miles to make it all happen. Being a Wedding Planner isn’t as glamorous as you might think, but it’s sure as hell worth every second of hard work to see my couples having the most magical day of their lives and I wouldn’t change it for the world. A huge thank you to my couples for 2022 who have been so incredibly patient with me throughout this season.
