Cayli @knockoutbeauty , my grandchildren and son-in-law are in Los Angeles. I am in NYC for the foreseeable future because of the Coronavirus. Cayli and I have rarely been separately for more than a few weeks, except when she went off to college. My first visit to her was 6 weeks after she left. Years later about the time of the first photo posted, she told me that when she saw me the day I visited, she was surprised that I looked older. Seeing me everyday, my face appeared to her as it had as when she was a child. It frightened her to see me that day seemingly older. She said she did not believe in anti- aging, she felt it was a priviledge to age having lost her mother when her mom was young. She did believe in using products that could slow the process. She realized that our faces were important to someone, in her case her children, her husband and me. And she wanted to keep the face we saw for as long as possible. I think it has been her mission to keep my face as close to what she remembers. And it is mine to try also, especially with this separation. So as I stocked up on canned goods to remain self quarantined, I have also gone online to Cayli’s website knockout beauty.com and have reordered all the products I have been using since she opened her first shop, so when I go back to LA, I will look the same to my family. Since I have a little time on my hands, I am finally going to do the masks, and peels and scrubs I either didn’t have time to do - or was too lazy to do.
