Fig Season. Summer and Fall. The fruit, the foliage, so much to love. We use our figs to make some of the recipes in @pascaleskitchen (Pascale Beale’s) cookbook, Fruit. We use the leaves to make @eatdrinkgarden ‘s (Valerie Rice) Grilled Salmon wrapped in fig leaves with nectarine relish from her book, Lush Life. Or using as a garnish, such as in the Persimmon Smoothie Bowl recipe from @theforestfeast’s (Erin Gleeson) new book, the Forest Feast Road Trip. Join us on September 8th from 4-6 pm in Woodside when Erin will be there for a book signing.
We do have a couple of varieties of fig trees available at Emily Joubert in Woodside.
