Lil life update: After 5 years of working in coffee and a lot of soul searching and job rejections, I decided it was time to do a masters. I went into my program still not entirely sure of the sector I wanted to end up working in and I left knowing it had to be climate/conservation/environmental related—partly influenced by my academic pursuits and partly just cause Scotland’s insane natural beauty. So I’m super pumped cause this week I started working as the Communications and Outreach Manager for Harpeth Conservancy (@harpethriver) here in Nashville. Water was something I grew up around constantly—rivers, lakes, oceans. It’s so exciting to be working for an organization that understands the dangers the earth and all its inhabitants face and the roles we have to play in making sure it’s protected. Here’s to fighting for clean water for communities and thriving ecosystems for one of the most biodiverse regions in the US.
