Today is International Day of Charity, so we encourage you to reap the health benefits of giving and finding ways you can help others.⁣ ⁣ As part of our mission to improve lives, we are proud to give back and partner with many charities and non-profits across Colorado. And since today is the International Day of Charity, it’s the perfect day to kick off a new monthly series highlighting our charity partners and the important work that they do for our communities. Stay tuned each month to learn about more charities and non-profits in your area, and how you can get involved. ⁣ ⁣ Here are the September Charities of the Month: ⁣ ⁣ @60plusride is a non-profit that provides free transportation to all Weld County Residents who are 60 and older, regardless of income. Its mission is to offer older adults the opportunity to maintain their physical, emotional and mental health while living independently. A key piece to maintaining the quality of life is to remove barriers to health care services. 60+ Ride does that by transporting older adults to their appointments without restrictions. ⁣ ⁣ @weecycle.co provides gently used baby gear to 54 nonprofit partners in the Denver metro area. These partners provide services such as housing, mental health treatment, education, employment opportunities and many more services. Being able to support their partners' programming by offering baby gear, hygiene items, diapers, wipes and formula so that their chances of self-sufficiency increase, is WeeCycle’s unique way of supporting the local community. ⁣ ⁣ @careandsharefb works to gather and sort food from multiple sources and then distribute it to their network of 282 partners in 31 counties across Southern Colorado. They make sure nutritious food gets in the hands of everyone who needs it—wherever they are.
