1 month on a new birth control pill update: My skin is thriving!🥹 So a little background info: I switched to Yasmin after 6 years on Sprintec. I wanted Yasmin specifically in hopes it would improve my hormonal acne, and it absolutely has! I actually noticed a difference after the first week, but didn’t want to jump to conclusions. Since then, my skin has continued to thrive and I’m so happy with it! An interesting change for me is that I did get a few (small!!) spots at the start of my period. The reason it’s interesting is because on Sprintec, my skin was always at its best during my period week (weird, ik). Either way, the spots I got were nothing major and cleared pretty fast. In terms of non-skin related changes, my first period was still exactly the same- predictable start/end, light, and mild/moderate headaches only. I also want to point out the obvious here- I focus very heavily on my skincare and regularly use acne treatments including adapalene. Obviously skincare plays a huge role, but I was at the point where it just felt stagnant. There’s been such a big difference in this last month that I can for sure contribute it to the pill!
