It has been a roller coaster of emotions with Keanu. Last week, I was so concerned because the Vet suspected that Keanu had either Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), hyperthyroidism, or diabetes. Although Keanu is eating like crazy, his weight gain had come to a halt. His bloodwork looked concerning, and his wounds were not healing even after 2 weeks of treatment. His Vet ran a series of tests, and thankfully, it wasn’t FIP nor the other two. However, Keanu is (still) fighting a pretty gnarly infection, and the infection was being resistant to the antibiotics that were given. Now that his Vet has more information on such infection, he is treating it successfully, and Keanu’s wounds are looking much better and he’s gaining weight! 🙏🏽🥰 The road continues to be long for Keanu.
