OUR GLOBAL IMPACT AFRICA: We’re proud to share that since 2018, our team in Africa has tracked having 6,311 conversations with women about their breast health for more than 205 hours, in 75 different places. It’s part of our global mission to reduce breast cancer risk and its impact–globally!–through art, education, prevention and action. ⁠ ⁠ Our app is also used in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Republic of Zambia by close to 180 women, a statistic we’re especially proud of given the taboo that’s associated with breast cancer in Africa. Our work continues today, not just with education on breast self-checks but in providing information on how pollution can impact their health, a major issue in the country posed by both plastic pollution and the mining industry’s effects on clean water. We’ve set our sights on expanding our education to other countries like Senegal, and developing environmental workshops with children.
