Hailing from the North East of England, @AndreaRisebough first set foot on stage at 9-years-old, and later moved on to graduate from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and earn stage credits in Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure August Strindberg’s Miss Julie, and Anton Chekhov’s Ivanov.
“The first opportunity that I had, a schoolteacher asked the local theatre for kids to be in an adult play, and a child to play a child in this play. She recommended me and at the time I loved literature and the idea of performing. I was a little bit shy, so didn’t feel comfortable when the opportunity was presented to me to go for it at first. A couple of weeks after it was mentioned to me, I was like, ‘You know that play about the first woman to ride in the side saddle? I think I might like to read for it.’ I remember being deeply embarrassed at first. Like, the horror.
