We are in a student debt crisis that is uniquely impacting Black people in disproportionate ways. We grew tired of waiting for the government to take effective action. So we decided to do it ourselves. Today, we are so excited to launch of the BLM Student Solidarity Fund This fund is intended to support Black people with college debt and current HBCU students to purchase things they need to survive, like transportation and commuting costs, books, technology, food, and housing. We can’t build a world of true liberation without our Black scholars and visionaries. We want to make sure they are able to think and create as freely as they can– without needing to worry about their basic needs.
