Over the years, the @thegreenurbanlunchbox FruitShare program has brought me into backyards across the Salt Lake Valley to harvest the most colorful and delicious varieties of fruit. This connection to people, place, and the decades-old legacies these fruit trees have is something one can only taste. This year, 30,000 pounds of fruit was rescued and distributed to homeowners, volunteers, and back into the local food system through free farm stands, senior centers, @utahfoodbank, @ircsaltlakecity, and more. You can pick up @mountainwestcider made from over 20 apple varieties harvested all over the valley this holiday season. 🍏
