How do you preserve what is most tender? What compels you forward through your days? What sheds light on your path when the way is too dark to see? In this life, there are no guarantees. We have to do the best we can w/ the hand we’re dealt. As life has unfolded & the days gather behind me in a long low hum, a truth has emerged—the piano is an essential part of who I am. I’ve been thinking a lot about the instrument lately. My history & future with it. It’s my primary tool for expression, where I go for self-preservation & the best available tool for articulating my identity as I move forward.
