As I scrolled and scrolled through the hundreds of Scotland photos in my phone’s camera roll tonight, I realized that my UK Visa expired today. March 15, almost 2 years from the date that all Covid hell broke loose and everything got plopped into uncertainty. So many plans faltered—travel to mainland Europe, scotch distillery tours, in person classes, but mostly: staying for a few years.
