I don’t usually share videos of myself singing because it makes me a bit anxious, but I’m really proud of last night’s performance with OK City Opera and wanted to share it. Lately, I’ve been on a personal journey with my singing. I found myself questioning my abilities, feeling like I didn’t belong in the spaces I’ve worked so hard to reach. Burnout crept in, and I was just going through the motions, disconnected from the passion that brought me here. So, I decided to take a step back. I revisited the music that first made me fall in love with this craft, and it helped reignite that spark. This piece is one of those. The performance isn’t perfect, but that’s okay.
