My acne journey 🏃🏻‍♀️💨 I started having giant painful under the skin pimples right when the pandemic started (March 2020). I was home doing nothing, so that was very weird to me bc I wasn’t stressed out or wearing a mask bc for 2 months I didn’t leave my house 😅 I tried to keep it under control with skincare but nothing was working. It was very uncomfortable, the pimples were painful. I decided to go to the dermatologist but the first one was dumb and didn’t help me at all, she just wanted my money. I didn’t give up and went to see another doctor, this time she was very helpful. She prescribed me a Tretinoin gel. At first it was working but the acne came back full force, worse than ever (this was 2021). January 2022 I was sick and tired of this fucking acne and I told her that I wanted the strongest treatment, I needed this acne to be gone. She prescribed antibiotics and a benzoyl peroxide gel. As you can see, it worked!!! Now I don’t use the BP gel anymore and my skin is back to being healthy! The doctor told me it was probably hormonal so it might come back but let’s hope not 😅 I just wanted to share my story, skincare is great but it ain’t gonna cure acne. Go see a doctor, please.
