I think there’s striking evidence to confirm, that I was made for the weekend. The slow, considered and calm is what lights up my creativity more than anything and sparks ideas for the week to come. Many love the quote: “Pressure makes diamonds”, but it’s never served me into anything but burnout. During the week, my mind often runs so fast that I can trip myself up into doubt and unproductive perfectionism, but I’m realising more and more as I’ve skated through my 20s in trial and error, that a holistic approach to ~every~ day is not only the most efficient but the route to the best work. When algorithms get made for a fleeting mind, it doesn’t feel like my language at all.
