Do you bear barrel 🐻🗑🧴🍜? I get a lot of questions about how I keep food, scented items, and myself safe when sleeping under the stars in areas that don’t have food lockers or hangs. Until recently, I would hang up most everything except my bear spray and what I needed to sleep. Now I put all of my food, cook stuff, garbage and scented items into a bear safe/ barrel (this one is by Frontiersman - I got it at @spryactive in Crowsnest Pass) and hang up everything else. This small tweak to my safety process means I can head out to summit a nearby peak knowing that my ramen (and all its fixings) will be there when I get back!
