This month marks 3 years since I started my company, Spirit Model Mgmt @spiritmodels 🔮 Spirit Model Mgmt, is a boutique mother agency located in New York City. Our mission is to broaden the spectrum of beauty by discovering faces and spirits who reflect our kaleidoscopic world. With an inclusive approach, we develop, guide, and seek placements - worldwide. As a queer black woman from The Bronx, I fundamentally understand that New York harbors a kaleidoscope of people. Having pursued modeling for the past 6 years, I always found myself asking the question: Why wasn’t I seeing that in the industry that I admired? That representation fails to exist in the industry writ large. The youth want to see themselves in the public eye, in media of all forms. All consumers want to see is themselves, and I want to be the person who brings that reality to life. My eye for scouting reflects those very eyes who desire a connection. Beyond providing a face that consumers can connect with, I share their stories. “You are more than your outward appearance. You have a Spirit, let’s show the world exactly who that is.” I scout talents who are artists, creatives, and visionaries. Spirit is a community of many: painters, animators, designers, poets, musicians, sneaker connoisseurs, instrumentalists, educators, botanists, actors, and activists. The world is moving in a direction where connection is valued. The genetic makeup of my talents and their identifications are inspiring, and we celebrate authenticity through diversity and inclusion. While others are trying to be “on trend” this is the ethos of Spirit Model Mgmt. Inspire 🌅 - Inform 🧠 - Connect ♾
