TJs BRAZIL NUT-> SDJ dupe?? So Trader Joe’s recently launched a scrub version of the mega-popular Brazil Nut body butter. Why does this line sell out within days you ask? Because it’s supposedly the same as Sol de Janeiro’s Bum Bum cream (and now, the Bum Bum body scrub). I’m usually hesitant about “dupes” and I’m also convinced that 100% of the tiktok girlies calling Costco’s cream a dupe have never in their lives been within 10 feet of Cheirosa ‘62. Rest assured that I’m a big SDJ fan and have done a side by side scent comparison! I reviewed the body butter last year and while I do agree the scent is pretty spot on, TJ’s body butters are just not very moisturizing whereas SDJ provides intense, lasting moisture. So on to the scrub! The scent is definitely there and highly resembles Cheirosa ‘62, although not as strong. Both scrubs are pretty gritty and dry. I do think TJs is a bit more dry, so you definitely have to use plenty of water in order to spread it on your skin. Overall, I’m not picky with body scrubs and I do think it’s hard to make a “bad” scrub. This one was a fun one to try, but I’m sure I’ll never see it again on the store shelves!
