A teeny throwback to last week and co-hosting a @maccosmeticsuk Breaking Into Beauty panel with @keeksreid and @lorraineclough at Somerset House ❤️ I never really measure my accomplishments partly because that seems like something an organised person would do and partly because self-deprecation is never not funny to me, but working with MAC feels pretty special. It was my sister who first had MAC makeup. I still vividly remember her bright orange eyeshadow from the Neo Sci-Fi collection and going to the counter to buy Paradiso eyeshadow because Pamela Anderson wore it in her Viva Glam campaign. In my early twenties when I felt like the biggest failure in life, watching Kandee Johnson makeup tutorials and buying every MAC item in them was the only thing that bought me any joy. My makeup obsession was fuelled by a desperation to be anyone but me, but 10+ years and a lot of hard work later I’m sitting on a MAC panel sharing how I built my own business and feeling that being me is actually alright. Forever proud to work with MAC and more motivated than ever to make a difference in this industry ❤️
