Last Friday, we packed just shy of 200 toiletry bags for homeless families in Detroit, in support of @neweradetroit’s Free Hotel Rooms for the Homeless event. We were incredibly humbled & inspired to take part in such a life-changing movement. Thanks to New Era Detroit, over 50 families were blessed with free lodging at the Baymont Suites in Ferndale, MI, along with an abundance of clothes, shoes, and other resources to provide them with assistance. Every day, God reminds me that nothing I have is mine. He blesses us so that we may be a blessing to one another. These “little” things that we often overlook chasing the next “big” thing are the very seeds that harvest the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
