A few weeks ago, you pointed out a few of my personal insecurities in front of some people. The next day, we met up and I voiced my feelings. I was hurt. The conversation was meant for only us because we’re family. I got you. You got me. You sat and listened, giving me the space to share. Then without hesitation, you got up, walked over, and hugged me. You apologized as we cried, repeated I love you, and then made fun of each other for who cried more. That’s how I will always remember you. You were the most personal, encouraging, annoying, invasive, accepting, intelligent, loud, challenging, and charming friend that I’ve ever had. I’m grateful that I got to know, trust, and love you for so many years. I miss you, my brother.
