Thank you so much to @bjonescooper for interviewing me about my book #tokenblackgirl for @yahoolifestyle’s #unmuted. I usually am in Brittany’s role so this is really not natural being on this side of an interview. I love the way this video turned out and I think it’s a perfect synopsis of the elements of my life that I discuss in my book. Brittany is from Omaha, Nebraska (!!!) so we bonded over being #tokenblackgirls. Fun fact, that little ballerina is actually my mom! So many people have thought it was me over the years! But I love that my mom did ballet in the 60s and I did it in the 90s. I can’t wait to have more in person discussions while I’m in NYC. 🚀.
