It is incredible how evident God’s glory is when you pause long enough to see it. The past week in Guayabal, Dominican Republic, I saw God through the Dominican people in so many ways. I saw him through their acceptance and hospitality, the smiles of strangers on the street, the willingness to listen to a promise of hope in Jesus, their joy to be alive, and gratitude for a bag of rice and beans and copy of God’s word. God stripped away all the things I thought i needed this week to show me that all I need is Him. I am so thankful God surrounded me with 14 new best friends and 5 translators who taught me how to remain optimistic and trust that the Lord will provide. I will never forget the memories made, and the people we encountered. Thank you, Jesus, for opening my eyes and the hearts of the Dominican people! 💛💛💛 James 2:5 “Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?”
