@dccorrections The public would like to know why 7 of our community members have lost their lives in your care this year. The DC community wants to know what is going on at the jail and why there hasn’t been full transparency around what happened to Treyvon Littles. You finally released a bare minimum statement but it is far from enough. What about the 4 other loved ones who you have released no information about? #DCjail is a risk to public safety. 87% of people being held in DC jail are Black. Many are presumed innocent since they are held pre-trial. Treyvon Littles paid his debt to society and was scheduled to be released on Sept 6th, he should be celebrating his soon release but instead his family has to grieve, demand justice and bury their loved one.
