A smiley Jake post 🤣 Honestly, common sense and reason seem to have gone out the window. Overtiredness is RARELY the cause of your sleep concerns. We need to focus on working WITH biology, not against it. Sleep pressure is your friend. Let’s stop blaming everything on over-tiredness. It’s a lazy answer. There is such a thing as plain tired!!!! Yes if your little one has missed a nap or stayed up way past their normal bedtime they might be more tired than usual, causing an increase in cortisol which *can* cause a fragmented night. We don’t want to keep babies awake longer than they need, but following arbitrary bedtimes that a stranger from the internet has told you is not the cure. Let’s watch and observe our babies. Be curious and work out what they need. Some do need earlier bedtimes than others, but they tend to be the exception rather than the rule. I’ve been on about this in my stories, so sorry if I’m repeating myself 😂
