🥹💚 Today is a very full circle and surreal moment. Part I of my Into The Gloss Interview is live! In the early 2010s ITG was my beauty bible. In my final year of NYU a dream came true— I was able to intern for @emilyweiss. I learned so much and it really set the foundation of my career, which I’m forever grateful for. I transcribed the majority of interviews on the site during that time— I affectionally refer to it as my Mr. Miyagi / Daniel Son ‘wax on wax off’ year, meaning where the deliverable may feel tedious and take a lot of time, but will add up to something even greater one day. Listening to and transcribing every word of Emily’s 1:1 interviews with beauty legends like Laura Mercier or stylist icons like Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele was an unparalleled education. So much of what I transcribed didn’t end up on the site, but it deeply informed how I think about so many things. It was a gift.
