while posting pictures from being a staffer at camp renu, and being a camper at youth camp, i wanted to share what God has put on my heart during the past two weeks. •Psalm 34:1-5, 8 “I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak His praises. I will boast only in the Lord; let all who are helpless take heart. Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness; let us exalt His name together. I prayed to the Lord, and He answered me. He freed me from all my fears. Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in Him!” here’s a couple things i’ve gotten out of these verses after praying this scripture and sincerely thinking about each verse throughout camp: -Jesus is the only one who can truly satisfy our souls. Taste and see how good it is to belong to Him! He longs for us to crave Him more than anything else and to know the joy of salvation. Seek Him with all your heart and you will find Him, be still and you will feel Him, read His word and you will know Him. We should let Him be the desire of our hearts and the craving of our souls. If you find yourself craving less of God and more of the things of this world, go to God and ask Him to change your heart. Then taste and see how good God is. -Praying is spiritual discipline. He hears every prayer, the God of the universe wants to hear from you! He bends down to listen and responds to every prayer. there is no such thing as an unanswered prayer. through prayer, we learn to trust God more. we should live in constant prayer!! nothing is a waste of Gods time. He cares about everything we bring to Him in prayer. God wants us to know Him more and experience His power, so call out to him in prayer! -Craving God above all else leads to true fulfillment. i am so thankful for these past 2 weeks and for the lasting friendships each camp has brought me!💖💖 side note: if you were wondering what 2 weeks straight of kids & youth camp does to you... i lost my voice🔥🔥🔥
