15 years ago today, I travelled with my good friend Spencer Tunick as he made history by photographing 18,000 nude people in Mexico City for an art installation. This was one of the most awe-inspiring experiences that I’ve ever been a part of. A very controversial presidential election had just taken place in Mexico, and the political climate was very tense. For many of the participants, posing nude in the Zocalo was a courageous act of political dissent. For others, it was simply a rare opportunity to be a part of a beautiful piece of art. It is unlikely that a production of this scale will happen again and I’m grateful to have been a part of it... Check out Spencer’s conversation on The Plug w/Justin Jay on your favorite podcast app - he’s been doing these unique and magical installations for over 25 years. @spencertunick @the_plug_podcast
