After 40 years, I meet them again: on my left my English teacher, Mrs. Thornborough, who hugged me and gave me a gift she told me to unwrap. Inside, a bracelet with this quote: “Though she be but little, she is fierce” - then followed the quiz! “Which Shakespearean play is that from?” My classmates (some of whom I hadn’t seen in 40 years) laughed. Then we started throwing plays: Romeo and Juliet, The Tempest, and finally A Midsummer Night’s Dream! On my right is Mrs Baldi, 4 years our class adviser for student government, my constant go-to in the 3 years I was class president. These women shaped the person I’ve become. How wonderful to be able to say thank you in person!
