@david_lachapelle has been my favorite photographer my entire adult life. His work gave me the courage to pursue a career as a celebrity photographer. To make weird art full of color and darkness and passion and sexuality and surrealism that didn't fit in a box, David creates worlds where his subjects can rule as divine creatures, as I do as well, albeit with 99% less budget. I left his "sneak opening" inspired and eager to create, and also very sad that we didn't finally meet. I did meet and photographed some very cool cats though, and got to share his art with my love.
