Comporta guide ❣️ I get asked so many questions about Comporta and to be honest I’m still discovering so much myself (this footage is from a beach we went to today and the walk is not the easiest especially with 4 children but so worth it for the pristine beach!!!) Here are my top spots: •Pego beach (Sal is lovely for lunch or dinner and the bar across from Sal is so sweet - you can go for sunset drinks and they have a DJ and often parents and children are all dancing together!) •Carvahal beach - we go to Sublime beach club alot. There is also the surf school there and there is another restaurant too but we still haven’t made it! The beach club has the cutest library for children. •Comporta beach - amazing sushi this year. •For hotels I would stay in Sublime (or Quinta da Comporta) although more are opening next year - Christian Louboutin is apparently opening a hotel. We stay in a villa as it’s easiest with children. •Take a boat ride to see Dolphins and the natural beauty of the Arrabida Natural Park. We stopped at O Farol which has been around for YEARS and the seafood was amazing. Also amazing to get a boat at sunset. (Boats go from Troia) •Horseriding also amazing - we usually go in Melides and you will often be the only ones on the beach it’s amazing! Also a bike ride through the rice fields is highly recommend. •For restaurants we love Sal Burger (with children), Sem Porta (in the Sublime hotel), 5 Sentidos, Piadianas Zanotti in town, Food circle (again at Sublime!), Gomes, Dona Bia, Cavalarica. Most places have quite simple food but the seafood is delicious. And for beaches - sooooo many amazing ones. For me these are some of the most beautiful beaches in Europe - such raw beauty. The big crashing waves of the Atlantic. Our current fav is Praia de Gale in Melides - only accessible via a long winding footpath of steep steps not exactly ideal with children in tow but so worth it and the beach bar at the bottom is simple but wonderful. And as for mosquitos, one of my girls is very allergic. She has worn a wrist band and been fine - just take mosquito spray at sunset! Ps girls dresses and my dungarees from @seraphina_london 💙
