I am not a fan of curtains and blinds at all. Some of y'all may have noticed in my Stories that we rarely have our blinds pulled and we don't have curtains in any of our rooms. Curtains can make a space feel dark (and small), which is good for temperature control, but it's bad for me and my plants’ well-being lol. But I wanted to add some depth/texture to our bedroom with a verrry minimalist curtain rod and sheer, flowy curtains that would dance when we opened the window or turned on our ceiling fan. I couldn't find what I wanted so I decided to make my own using the following material: -Black leather wall loops - $14 via @etsy -60’’ Wooden Dowel - $10 via @loweshomeimprovement -Paint Stain and sealant - $13 also from Lowe’s. (I used a super light coating to protect the rod from cracking but I wanted to maintain the original wood color.) Altogether, it was <$40 for the curtain rod hardware, another $20 for the sheer curtains from world market and I couldn't love it more! Is this something that you would try? If so, save this post for later and lemme know how it turns out!
