From 30-year old vines, "Sur Le Bois Sud" from domaine Clair Obscure is a joyful, life affirming Pinot Noir, with notes of fresh cherries and wild berries and a touch of leafy-earthy complexity. Expressive on the nose, it feels very relaxed on the palate, silky with beautiful fine tannins, it's incredibly hard to put the glass down. Pouring BTG all weekend at the bar & restaurant, this is a stellar expression of the historically overlooked Maranges appellation. @vinetrail
