Bulking might not be what you need right now 👀I did NOT bulk in between these two pictures.

On the left I was eating 1500 calories, didn’t ever look at protein and just focused on eating as little as possible. Because of my restriction and lack of proper training, I had no butt 🤡
On the right, I’ve spent MOST of my time just around maintenance calories and really dialed in on my training.
People become stressed and overwhelmed at the thought of growing their glutes because they’re afraid to bulk and put on weight. But before you should even CONSIDER a bulk, you need to be dialing in on other metrics first that can truly be the catalyst to helping you reach your glute goals.
While doing a bulk can be extremely beneficial, remember that you can make a LOT of progress if you prioritize the following (aka this is what I did!)

- stayed CONSISTENT with my exercises, not just switching things up because I was “bored”. I’d rather have my workouts be boring and effective over fun with no progress
- glute focused exercises in BOTH lengthening and shortening position
- really effective mind to muscle connection. Just because a weight is heavy or you worked up a sweat does not means it’s working the way it’s supposed to
- included isolation movement (focusing on 1 cheek at a time i.e step ups)
- protein intake was where it needed to be
- spent the majority of this time NOT in a deficit but at maintenance
