Simple songs like this with obvious messages are timelessly adored by many of us, as we can relate them to the current events of our lives in some way; whether the theme is new love, old love, love loss. A lot of the works in this show were about love and loss. There was a lot of change going on in my life at the time of making these flags. I believe there’s a lot power in vulnerability and opening yourself up to new experiences and new people.
