Mulled Apple Cider
Serving size: 8
64fl oz of apple cider
1⁄4 cup cloves
1⁄4 star anise
1⁄4 nutmeg
5 cinnamon sticks
1 orange, sliced
1⁄2 cup fresh cranberries
Step 1: Add spices to a pan on low heat and to allow them to release more flavor, approx. 5 min.
Step 2: Add cider to a large pot. Add spices. Heat on low for approx. 2 hours. (The longer you simmer, the more flavor is released from the spices.)
Step 3: When you are ready to serve, strain if you wish. Slice oranges and add them, along with the cranberries, to the pot. Do not add the fruits earlier or they will fall to the bottom and their color will fade. Serve with an orange slice on the brim. Enjoy!
