Babies have an immature oesophageal sphincter, and spend a fair bit of time laying down (they don’t have gravity on their side!), so some spit up can be normal. If you are concerned about your babies behaviour always gets checked by a professional. Things we should be looking out for: ♥️Number of wet and dirty nappies across 24 hours ♥️ Baby’s behaviour around feeding - I.e discomfort ♥️Your gut instinct - if baby is posseting but asymptomatic for anything else, it’s likely nothing to worry about. If you feel like something isn’t right, then get them checked. ♥️ Trust your medical professionals, but it’s always to okay ask questions and get clarification. You can always get a second opinion.
