I took advantage of a winter storm advisory in Vegas to go have a full on mountaineering experience on Griffith Peak. Boots and crampons the whole way, heavy wind and snow, all good times! I love that there’s the option for winter mountaineering within a 45min drive of world class rock climbing... And yes, my water bladder hose froze solid so I didn’t drink much. Live and learn. Otherwise things went smoothly and I enjoyed some pretty decent ski conditions on the way down (in boots tho...).
