Just a girl and her “spots”. Did you know Tinea versicolor is often mistaken for Vitiligo? My primary care Dr told me my Vitiligo was Tinea versicolor. I’ve had TV since middle school so when I developed vitiligo in my 20’s, I knew it wasn’t the same. After my appointment and new TV cream, I immediately scheduled an appointment with my dermatologist. My dermatologist confirmed my vitiligo and also informed me that the cream I was prescribed I wasn’t supposed to use because I was pregnant. This is why I always recommend seeing a dermatologist instead of your regular doctor or Google 🤷🏻‍♀️. Your “spots” could be treatable. 🤍🖤 #vitiligo #tineaversicolor #poliosis #vitiligoawareness #autoimmunedisease #autoimmunecondition #skinconfidence #skinhealth
