I wish I could travel back in time and show this to my younger self. Maybe it wouldn’t have taken me as long to accept my illnesses. Maybe I would’ve had more hope for the future. Maybe I would have reached out to the community sooner. What matters is that now those diagnosed with chronic illness feeling the same way can see this and be reminded that they can still live their life despite the battles they face. The “To Be Seen” campaign gives me hope for all of those feeling alone and invisible to feel more comfortable in this safe space without all the stigmas and misconceptions. I can’t thank the people behind @justaddbuoy and @roundtwoagency enough for bringing me along on this journey and believing in me to share my story. I’ll never forget this experience and the inspiring people it has led me to meet.
