SEXUAL ASSAULT PB 🚨
The 24-year-old victim was walking alone around 2:10 a.m. Saturday when a man drove up beside her on Pacific Beach Drive near Riviera Drive, according to police. The man asked the woman if she was lost and offered her a ride, which she declined.
Moments later, the man snuck up behind the victim and physically forced her into his car, according to a news release from San Diego County Crime Stoppers.
The man drove the woman a few blocks away, near Oliver Avenue and Everts Street, where he sexually assaulted her inside the car, according to the news release. He then drove her several blocks to the east, on Pacific Beach Drive near Crown Point Drive, where the victim was able to get out of the car and run away.
The victim reported the assault to San Diego police, describing her attacker as a light-skinned Hispanic man between 30 and 40 years old with dark brown, receding hair and a mustache. She said he was about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 200 pounds, wearing shorts with a white or tan shirt.
He was driving an older model sedan the victim described as tan or gold, officials said in the news release.
