In 1999, the MTV Video Music Awards were being held at the Metropolitan Opera house in New York and we did a series of portraits with photographer Mark Seliger of musical artists as different opera stars. KURT. That shoot was our introduction to Britney. We didn’t even really know who she was and didn’t actually have much time to really connect on any real level at that shoot. She requested us again for a job and after that; we did everything with her from 1999 to 2004.
