D a r S e f f a r i n e - this was our accommodation in the former capital of Morocco, Fes. Drool! A 400 year old house owned and lovingly restored by an Iraqi architect specialising in Islamic history. It lay abandoned and derelict for almost 30 years before he purchased it, spent 3 years bringing it back to its former glory and turning it into a bed and breakfast (and incidentally the two best dinners we had on our entire trek across Morocco). It was truely one of the most stunning places I’ve ever stayed, but more on Fes to come. N.B. I am so far behind on catching you all up on my travels it’s stupid. When I last posted I was in the Sahara. I’m currently in Petra, Jordan. In between I’ve been back to Marrakech where I caught up with my brother, niece and nephew, said goodbye to my mum in Spain, reunited with my man in Tel Aviv Israel, been to Jerusalem, crossed the border into Jordan, visited the ancient Roman city of Amman and today saw the Rose city of Petra, one of the seven wonders of the world. Guess I’m just enjoying myself too much to bother posting about it but I’ll catch you all up in the coming days so stay tuned. @darseffarine #travel #morocco #adventure #fes #travelphotography #bedandbreakfast
